But here’s the real week wrap up:

-I GOT MY CAMERA! I think the eBay seller knew I was checking the tracking info every hour for a week because he sent it at the very last possible moment. Blerg. But I got it, I cleaned it, I loaded film and I have only taken one picture but I. Am. In. LOVE.

The Beau just might murder me for putting his photo up here. Or make me take it down.

-I totally forgot that it was Space Week! Luckily I wrote about it last year, so you can read here.

-I won some coffee straight from New Orleans and it has chicory in it and now I want a garden full of chicory. Plus, it’s such a fun word to say.

Not pictured:

-It dipped way down into the 70s here in the valley, so I got to wear my amazing green pants that I will probably be wearing a little too much this fall! I’m not calling it fall yet, because it’s supposed to get back into the upper 90s next week, but fingers crossed that’s a fluke. Hello pants + tights!

-I found a recipe for apple cinnamon roll cupcakes that might stop my heart, and I am slowly putting together a rad Halloween costume, hehe.

And when she had a giveaway (FOR COFFEE!), you’d better believe I entered!And a huge surprise – I WON!I had never had Orleans Coffee and had to Google “chicory,” but after I had a cup, I didn’t need anyone to explain to me why I liked it so.

I think that’s James Dean’s “what’s that smell?” look.

Just opening the package and spooning in the grounds I knew this was a different kind of coffee. It looked pretty infused – meaning it had lots of little extras in the mix. Must be the chicory – and Orleans Love, maybe?

As I poured my first cup, I could hardly wait for it to go from scalding to safe to drink, but I could not stop smelling it. The chicory has a distinct and unique smell. I had never smelled any coffee like it.

I tried it first without sugar to get the full effect of the coffee, but I do like some sweets in my café, and zing! There it was – perfection. The chicory bonds incredibly well with the sugar and I am just a happy camper, plain and simple.

Now, I just need to figure out how to save up enough to travel to New Orleans to get the freshest possible cup of chicory coffee!

the Bunny Dip is a back-breaking workout.

I decided for the sake of this article, I’d give the show a chance and watch it on the nbc site. I was not disappointed, and David Krumholtz is in it, so it can’t be bad. I’m not going to say I like it yet, since I’ve only seen one episode, but I am going to say I will definitely be watching the next episode. Plus, can I just pause and talk about how ridiculously perfect everyone’s hair is? I would kill to be coiffed like that everyday.

Let’s see about this week, shall we?

-As you can see from the photo above, I have been searching for an inexpensive land camera lately. I finished my first roll in my Holga (after a mishap had to re shoot a roll that wasn’t properly secured), and have been thinking about trying several different formats to see which I like best. With all this camera talk I might have to sell some of my older, less used ones to make room for ones I actually like.

-I wandered through labyrinthine antique stores looking for a little bit of everything, for only a couple of pennies. I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t find anything in my price range, so went down the street to the Goodwill-style thrift store. Imagine my surprise and delight in finding an entire outfit for $6! I will do an outfit post next week about it, but rest assured, my brain is totally in fall mode with it.

-Parks and Recreation and Community had their season premieres last night and I am just so happy to go back to some quality, hilarious TV time on Thursdays. (I could watch that gif FOREVER.)

-UFC 135 tomorrow! I love when there’s an MMA fight on Saturday nights, because 1) I love MMA and 2) we always get pizza that night. PIZZA!

I am constantly telling her I would pay major $$ for anything she makes on her blog, and here she’s giving something away! People, if you like it, put a ring (or comment) on it.

But, since it is so hard to take a picture of her still, I decided to make a little gif.

She’s pretty good at catching a Frisbee midair, which Tort can’t (or won’t) do.

I just recently learned about the Longboard Girls, a group of young ladies who skate down mountain roads, hills, beaches and the like on their longboards. Fed up with the intimidation, prejudice and overall negativity of a male-dominated sport, these girls teamed together to bring a support-rich, helpful community to ladies around the world! Not only are these girls fearless, but they are smart, sweet, and look like tons of fun!

This week is actually goin’ pretty well. I:

- crafted my own felt flower garland crowns for a family tea party tomorrow at a lavender farm,

went to a cowboy bar complete with boots hanging from the rafters and a speaker house made from a budweiser 24-pack box,

celebrated Tortilla’s birthday with extra snuggles and a treat,

found out my friend who’s preggers has decided to name her son a totally awesome name: jack anthony,

received pictures I ordered in the mail (anybody want one?!),

and Sunday it’s fathers day this weekend and I have no idea what to get any of my dads. Maybe just beers all around!

I cannot believe I am putting this up on the Internet for all to read. My street cred as a film-phile could very possibly be shaken by the fact that I own this movie, I love this movie, and I love Jenny McCarthy in this movie. I can’t quite pin down why (the scene above is kind of annoying, yet still makes me laugh because she just can’t help herself, can she?) because she is kind of askew. But I really enjoy the over the top way this movie portrays breakup mourning.

Maybe it’s because I am a sucker for Eddie Kaye Thomas’ dorky and romantic character, maybe it’s because it’s funny or comforting to see a ridiculously attractive woman become a relatable mess when she is cast aside.

I don’t really want to look into it, I just want to laugh when Carmen Electra pulls a gun on McCarthy to make her take a shower.
