Bring May Flowers!
1. Eustoma grandiflorum, 2. A Secret Garden?, 3. Purple, 4. Beautiful Dahlia
I need some sort of flower delivery service. A modest arrangement a week I think would help bring inspiration to me always!

It seems like I have been going on and on about how I cannot wait for spring for months! Well, it probably has been months. But now it’s here, we can cheer, then we can go out and have as much fun as possible before it gets too hot to do anything in Arizona! Do you have any plans that can only be executed on a perfect spring day?
1. Kate Spade + Bryce Dallas Howard = love 2. Marie Antoinette shoes 3. Confections Adorned 4. Kelly Reemtsen’s beautiful paintings 5. Liz Wolfe’s new work 6. tulip fields I need to visit
What I did with my time this week…
I used Chloe’s tips to find and brew some excellent coffee
Daydreaming about spring picnics, with vivid tablecloths and nails as fresh as Kaylah’s from Dainty Squid
I plastered The Beau’s fruit with sentiments he would enjoy on a day of which he’s not a big fan. Twig and Thistle Idea, found on Say Yes to Hoboken
This was last week, but I made an awesome and healthy smoothie thanks to joy the baker. I left out the kale and it was still great!
Rode to the library and got this book. I can’t wait til I can actually use it!

Gratefully I was able to get my sewing machine threaded with help from my friend Melissa at honeyscrap. Now is the task of figuring out what to sew first! Pillow? Tote bag?

I finally caved to The Beau and Mr. StaticEcho and listened to the podcast My Brother, My Brother and Me. I am kicking myself I didn’t start listening to them before! At least I have so much backlog to listen to, waiting for each new one. The Beau and I listened to it at dinner the other night and laughed so hard he teared up and my abs hurt!
I am totally smitten with MAC’s spring line and its Wonder Woman themed cases. Although it is pretty much useless for me to buy makeup since I never wear it, I might buy the blue nail polish or a compact of sorts.
Item info can be found here.
When real wonder women get their wings they’re made of rhinestones, they have to have coffee to be wonderful, and feel just as self-confident in red cowboy boots as in blue hot pants.
So, if it seemed strangely quiet to you around here last week, that’s because I was sick. Not just “oh, head cold I just gotta-OH HEY LOOK INTERNET!” but a knock-out, haymaker, bed-ridden, couldn’t stare at the internet for more than 5 minutes sort of thing. Yeah, it was that bad.
Anyway, I am able to use my body without pain now, so that means I am on the mend! Huzzah!
I wanted to put together a post of things I am thankful for while I am sick and let me tell you, they are FEW, my friend. I love being lazy and willfully sitting around, but when my body shuts down and FORCES me to? Not cool, bro. I go a bit bananas.
So, the top 5 things I am thankful for while sick (in no particular order):
5. My Tortilla Guard. When I hang out on my day off in my pj’s on the couch, he could not care less. If I am in bed sleeping with VapoRub at arm’s length? He’s right next to me, sending out his good puppy vibes. When The Beau would take him for walks he would hang back and look at me as if to say “is she going to be okay without me?” He never, ever shies away from a walk, so that was soooo weird and ever-heartwarming.
4. Shower Soothers. oh wait I didn’t get to use one this time around they seemed to have VANISHED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH! I know I have used one before, I didn’t make them up! I have half a mind to just make my own. Oooh…idea!
3. Netflix Instant Watch. Thank jeebus for this. I don’t know how I would have survived without continual watching seasons of The X-Files and Futurama.
2. Comfort foods. Mac n cheese with hot dogs hands down, my favorite comfort foods. So what does The Beau make me in the fit of my fever? MAC N CHEESE WITH HOT DOGS! BECAUSE HE IS THE AWESOME!
which brings me to the next…
1. The Beau. Without him I’d be a starving, sick, puddle of a person. He is seriously 20x better at being a nurse/doctor than stupid Zach Braff, without any of that cutesy fluff. *fist bump* Thank you, Beau.
oh yeah, and fuzzy Cookie Monster socks.
ahh, grumpy Pepper Jess, be gone!
The great news is my low-grade fever broke in the middle of the night and my body feels great! The bad news is, my nose is still majorly messed up AND I missed using my amazing coupon at the thrift store this week because of this influenza! CURSES!
Anywho, this is the most strength I have had in the last four days, so I will probably post something later, but I just want to let you all know I am among the living once more!
