The ongoing “Best of 2009″ idea continues with: New food. You’re now in love with Lebanese food and you didn’t even know what it was in January of this year.
The new food of my year is green chiles. Granted I knew what they were, but I didn’t want to come near them. Now I’m trying to think of all these fabulous things to throw them in to seriously spice stuff up!
They were given as a side to almost everything in Albuquerque ( my milkshake doesn’t need any green chiles, thanks though), including breakfast. So I mixed a little with my eggs and was shoved on the train to Flavorville. I wanted to cry from the delicious simple beauty of green chile.
My mission for 2010 is to work a LOT of green chile into my diet. Chile turkey and cream cheese turkey wraps and burgers will be my undoing!!
