Full Pink Moon
“This name came from the herb moss pink, or wild ground phlox, which is one of the earliest widespread flowers of the spring. Other names for this month’s celestial body include the Full Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and among coastal tribes the Full Fish Moon, because this was the time that the shad swam upstream to spawn.”
When I found out there was a Pink moon, what more could you ask of me then to bring you a bunch of pink cocktail ideas?!
Strawberry Martini:
2 1/2 shots gin
1/2 shot strawberry liqueur
Pink Cadillac Margarita:
2 oz. Tequila
1 oz. Triple Sec
2 oz. Lime Juice
1 oz. Cranberry Juice
1 tsp. Sugar
Shake with ice and strain over ice into a rocks glass.
One of my favorite pink drinks is also non-alcoholc: a nice Shirley Temple.
